Alumni Spotlight

LeeAnna Pekel, Taku ’08

Since leaving the US in 2010, my path has been a global one, taking me to five countries across three continents. For the past four years, I’ve been based in Pakistan, serving as the Elementary School Principal at the Karachi American School. In my free time, I channel my passion for community and mindful spaces into serving as the Wellness Coordinator for the Know Other Festival in Joshua Tree.

Whether leading an international school campus or coordinating festival wellness, the roots of adaptability and community connection were firmly planted during my field semester with Round River.
