Pabalelo was born and raised in Sankoyo village but has family roots from Khwai village. Pabalelo is from two different Okavango tribes, the Bayei and Bugakhwe tribes. He resided in wildlife management areas his entire life, where he grew up living with and coping with wild animals. Because of this, he has extensive knowledge and experience living in the bush. After his schooling, he’s been involved in several local organisations that collaborate with community trusts on how to utilise natural resources within their respective areas sustainably. Pabalelo hopes to share this knowledge with students and stakeholders for the betterment of his community and Round River.
