Maggie Johnson

Patagonia Program Assistant Leader

Maggie is thrilled to return to Round River as an Assistant Leader in Patagonia, nearly ten years after first joining the program as a student in 2017. Growing up along the coast of Maine, Maggie developed an early love for life outdoors, spending much of her time sailing, rock climbing, and exploring the natural world around her. She went on to graduate from Oberlin College with a double major in Environmental Studies and Economics, and has since built a career centered around connecting people with the outdoors and expanding access to it. She has guided cycling tours across the United States, led outdoor education programs in national parks throughout California, and worked to expand transit access for people in Southern Maine who face barriers to transportation.

Maggie is excited to return to the field and to the Round River community, where she looks forward to sharing in the field research, learning, curiosity, and adventure in the beautiful landscapes of Patagonia.
