Kathleen has dedicated her career to the environmental nonprofit sector, beginning as a field scientist studying the river systems and native flora of the Mountain West. She later transitioned into nonprofit management and administration, bringing her expertise to a broader organizational level. Kathleen joined Round River in 2011 and has been serving as the Director of Operations since 2014.
As the Director of Operations, Kathleen leads the organization’s financial management, human resources, and general administration, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all areas. She plays a pivotal role in contracts and grants management for the Conservation Program, collaborating closely with our partners and technical science team to advance our conservation initiatives. In the Student Program, Kathleen works directly with students and their families on financial planning, and serves as the primary academic and financial liaison with Round River’s accrediting institution. Kathleen is the bedrock of Round River, providing essential support that enables our team to operate effectively worldwide.
Kathleen earned a BS in Biology with minors in Environmental Studies and Music from Westminster University in Salt Lake City. She also pursued graduate studies in Fluvial Geomorphology at Utah State University.
