Dix is a member of the Bayei Tribe from Sankoyo and a board member of the Sankoyo Tshwaragano Management Trust. Having lived his whole life surrounded by animals, Dix has extensive knowledge of the natural history of the Delta. He has done research with large-sized predators (lions, leopards, hyenas, wild dogs and cheetah) and has an Assistant Field Guide certification. Dix is field coordinator and instructor for Round River’s Botswana student programs. He serves as Co-Director of Round River Botswana Trust.
