Claudia is a Chilean biologist currently serving as the Program Director for Round River Patagonia. She began her journey with Round River in 2019 as an instructor and has since led seven programs in Austral Chile, where she also resides. Claudia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a Master’s degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the Universidad de Chile. Her experience includes fieldwork on Andean and Mediterranean plant phylogenetic ecology, environmental consulting in vegetation and limnology, and outdoor environmental education tutoring. Additionally, she has volunteered for conservation programs in Australia and Chile and directed the multidisciplinary development of scientific outreach materials in northern Chile. Under her leadership, the Patagonia Program continues to grow, focusing on ecological education and conservation efforts with local stakeholders.
