Chris has a BSc in Wildlife Conservation and an MSc in Wildlife Biology, both from Humboldt State University, California. His research interests have been directed mostly at birds, including nest searching in Peru, Saker Falcon work in Mongolia, Stitchbird nest monitoring in New Zealand, bird banding in Costa Rica and Kenya, and Fairywren work in Australia. He has also worked with wolves in Idaho, baboons in Namibia, and worked various outdoor education positions for K-12th grade in Washington, West Virginia, and New Hampshire. Chris has been leading Round River programs since Spring 2017 and is currently teaching and leading research at Sierra Nevada University. He enjoys bird watching, backpacking, frisbee, hunting, tracking, and nerding out with others about natural history.
