Ben has a strong professional background in environmental education and wildlife management. Since joining Round River in 2018, he has led programs in the Taku, Sky Islands, and Botswana, where he has been instrumental in developing and supporting projects with local communities focused on wildlife monitoring, human-wildlife conflict, habitat fragmentation, and high alpine vegetation change.
Currently, Ben serves as the Student Programs Co-Director alongside Sara Grillo. In this role, he oversees all aspects of student programs, including logistics, admissions, and preparations, while also fostering partnerships with local communities to support conservation efforts. His work is particularly focused on the programs in Botswana, Taku, and the Sky Islands.
Ben holds a degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Vermont, where he participated in the Botswana Round River program during the spring semester of 2016.
