Ben joined Round River in 2023, and serves as a program instructor and academic coordinator for the Patagonia and Taku programs. He has a BS in biology from Northwestern College and an MS in fisheries and wildlife science from Clemson University. He has worked as a stream surveyor in Oregon, a botanist in Utah and Michigan, an environmental educator in Costa Rica and Georgia, a GIS specialist in Hawai’i, and as a geoscience technician in the Canadian Arctic. With a diverse career in conservation and education, Ben brings a unique and practical perspective to Round River, inspiring students to explore the natural world in fun and engaging ways.
