Singer-songwriter Mark Erelli performed his beautiful song “By Degrees” with Rosanne Cash during the Brady Campaign’s 2016 Bear Awards in New York City. He shared this video on October 2, following the tragic events in Las Vegas, and this message:
“It’s been a helluva day. I would say that my heart goes out to all affected by the violence in Las Vegas last night, but that should be all of us. This cannot continue. I don’t have any answers, but I know I’m not the only one who is struggling with the questions. I hope this song serves as a witness to that struggle, and if it helps just one person feel less alone, then I am grateful. I need it as much as anyone. Many thanks to Rosanne Cash for her courage and her grace, and for lending her wise and generous spirit to my song.”
