Alumni Spotlight

Lucca Sterrer, Patagonia ’20

Spending a semester abroad in Chile with Round River was very influential in figuring out what I wanted to do post college! Doing fieldwork in such a special environment helped me realize I want to continue my experience with field ecology and work outside as much as I can!

Since graduating from the University of Vermont, I spent a season as a hydrology technician for the National Park Service in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. This experience allowed me to keep exploring different avenues of field science and ultimately persuaded me to apply for graduate programs in ecology for the following fall. My experience with Round River definitely pathed the path I am on today and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
