Helena (Linky) le Roux Ohm

Helena (Linky) le Roux Ohm, Ph.D., has nearly 20 years of experience in higher education and non-profit administration. She has been with The Center for Discovery for over a decade and currently serves as Chief of Staff to the President & CEO, where she plays a key role in driving the organization’s strategic and operational priorities. Previously, Linky was the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, overseeing public-private collaborations and special projects. Throughout her career, Linky has secured and managed tens of millions of dollars in competitive grants, led the development of integrated communications strategies, and worked with elected officials, New York State, and federal agencies to advance legislative priorities and strategic partnerships. She has also helped lead efforts to create a national model for sustainable and inclusive community development, and continues to support academic and fundraising events, donor relations, and strategic communications.

Before joining The Center for Discovery, Linky was a tenured Associate Professor and Director of Sustainability at SUNY Sullivan, where she built national recognition for the college’s leadership in green building, sustainable agriculture, and community development. Linky holds a Ph.D. in Sustainability Education from Prescott College, an M.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana, and a B.S. in Natural Resources – Ecology from the University of Vermont. She is also an alumna of Round River Conservation Studies’ Namibia (2003) and Taku (2005) programs. Linky resides in upstate New York with her husband, two daughters, and a very good dog named Stella.
